TRAPEZOIDAL SLOPE TROUGH
The trapezoidal slope gutter is a key component of linear drainage systems, mainly used in the construction of road and railway infrastructure. Thanks to their specific, tapering geometry, these gutters enable a stable, overlapping connection, which ensures the smooth flow of rainwater and snowmelt along embankments and slopes, protecting them from erosion and soil washout.
Application
- Drainage of slopes and embankments: Effective drainage of water from the road crown into drainage ditches or retention basins.
- Transport infrastructure: Construction of national roads, motorways and railways.
- Protection against erosion: Stabilisation of sloping surfaces exposed to intense rainwater.
Advantages and design features
- Overlapping installation: The trapezoidal shape (tapering on one side) allows one element to be slid into the other, guaranteeing the tightness and continuity of the trough without the need for additional mechanical fasteners.
- Durability: made from high-grade vibro-pressed concrete with high resistance to compression, frost and road salt.
- Self-cleaning: A smooth internal surface and an optimised hydraulic profile minimise dirt build-up and facilitate system maintenance.
