Special paving tile with so-called 'cusps' is justifiably used at pedestrian crossings, platform edges and other places where the pedestrian's attention should be drawn to possible dangers. The protuberances visible on the surface of the paving slab decisively improve grip, reduce the risk of slipping, especially in difficult weather conditions such as rain and snow.
